Mon 01 Feb 2010 - Paolo's help for Haiti

Paolo's help for Haiti

To offer his help and support to the Haiti disaster relief fund, Paolo is auctioning 3 pairs of tickets to his sold out show on 17th February at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow.

The tickets will include a meet and greet with Paolo, access to the after show and a car to collect the winners to take them to the show from Glasgow airport, a nearby train station or a local hotel or residence.

The auctions are open right now and you can bid for the tickets by clicking on the links below:

Glasgow tickets - Bundle Number 1
Glasgow tickets - Bundle Number 2
Glasgow tickets - Bundle Number 3

The auctions are open for just one week only and close on 8th February 2010 when the highest bidders will be announced.

Get bidding now - and please give generously. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

Speaking about the appeal, Paolo commented "I wanted to help in whatever way possible and had the idea of giving up my guest-list spaces to offer as an auction to the show. I look forward to seeing how much my dedicated fans can raise for such an important appeal".

That's a fabulous idea you have come up with, Aghkunaba1! I could never afford the price the tickets cost by now, but I would be happy to donate about 50 euros or pounds to get the chance to win the tickets. I think a lot more people would be able to take part in a raffle and a lot more money could be raised. Let's hope someone from paolonutini.com reads your comment and thinks about it... or maybe someone should email them?

I have not had the chance to read all comments posted so I hope I am not repeating what somebody might have said.
I think it is a great idea to get some help for Haiti and tickets is a good way to do it but I think it would be more beneficial and certainly more profitable to do a raffle instead of an action.
I would not be able to go to the concert so I would not be bidding on it, but I would like to help anyway so I would be very happy to buy a raffle ticket for 25 or 50 or whatever price and have the remote possibility of winning. You (Paolo Nutini) would collect a greater amount of money for the help needed in Haiti.
Let’s say in the bidding you get $500 each ...for a total of $1500. But if you raffle the tickets and get a good amount of fans (which you have plenty of) the amount collected would be far more. You only need 60 fans to pay $25 each to get to $1500.
So I would suggest raffling another 3 tickets and that way we can all collectively help a bit more.
I will be happy to buy the first raffle ticket for $50, even if I know I would not be able to go.

Well done Paolo for such a fantastic idea to help a truly worthy cause.

Wish I hadn't already given into touts for this gig ;-(

I hope the bidders dig deep and raise as much as possible for this cause, as the chance of going to the gig in Tuts and chance to meet Paolo is priceless

    Jacq xxx
