Paolo has been confirmed as one of the artists to play at the Southbank Centre's annual Meltdown event.

This summer's festival of music is being curated by Richard Thompson and includes such musical luminaries as Seasick Steve, Elvis Costello and Rufus Wainwright with Paolo set to rock the Royal Festival Hall stage on June 15th.

Tickets go on sale April 15th, with Southbank Centre members able to book their seats a day in advance.

On the evening of February 10th 2010, 16-year-old Sarah Phillips picked up her mobile phone and sang Paolo Nutini's 'Autumn' into it, without music but hitting every note with perfect pitch.

She intended to perform the song at her mother's funeral. Four-and-a-half hours later, her mother, Debbie, lost her brave battle against cancer.

After an internet campaign to make the song a single - Sarah's stirring rendition of 'Autumn' has now been released on iTunes.

All proceeds from the release go towards the Debbie Phillips Cervical Cancer Research Fund.

Paolo will hit UK tv screens this Easter when he performs live on the Great American Songbook on BBC4.

The show goes out at 9pm on Good Friday (9th April) and features an eclectic mix of artists gathering together at Air studios in London to perform their interpretations of the classic and timeless songs of the Great American Songbook.

Paolo will be bringing his particular magic to versions of legendary ballad 'Nature Boy', soul classic 'I'd Rather Go Blind' and 'Buena Sera'.

An extended version of the show will be broadcast on BBC4 at the later time of 11.30pm the same evening.

Great news everyone - Paolo has just confirmed a whole string of additional European summer dates.

First up, Paolo and the boys will be motoring through Holland in May to play live shows in Utrecht, Groningen and The Pinkpop Festival.

Following that, Paolo is all set for an Italian adventure - he's already booked shows in Turin, Udine, Ferrara, Rome and Lucca and now he's just confirmed a gig in Milan for July.

Add to this fresh gigs in Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland and an Irish Festival appearance at Oxegen and you've got a summer of music to remember.
