2008…. Happy Youthful year to all you peeps out there. It’s been a while so you’ll probably be wondering what’s going down in the world of ‘Nutini’. First off though ... Big Love to everyone of you guys for helping make 2007 a top year for me and the band. Thanks for you’re support on the road and off. You all rock!!
After a well-earned break over Chrimble and New Year we’re currently in the middle of nowhere, holed up in the studio working on material for album number 2. The rural setting seems to have brought out a whole new direction in the band.
Besides recording new ideas, we’ve also drawn inspiration from a certain group of chickens….”we miked up some of the local flock ( with the farmers consent of course) and it turns out that they are very percussive birds…also very melodic” says band newcomer Dave (Teaboy) Nelson (Dave is not a chicken by the way)
We also hear that they have taken to tractor racing in a desperate bid to blend in with their rural setting… “those city boys are alright in their fancy cars, but stick a plough on their tail and their flapping all over the shop” Boasts nearby brewery owner Seamus O’Pelican...
All in all, things are coming along nicely and me and the boys are full of Guinesspiration.
Ez love
Paolo and the boys ... and the chickens!
